iZombie, what can I say about iZombie? Well, it isn't bad. It really isn't. I mean, there are A LOT of things you sort of have to overlook; loopholes that never get explained and leaps in common sense you have to accept for the story to make sense. But if you look past those things, it is actually a good show.

The two main things that have bugged me since the pilot episode.

1.) The premise of the show seems to wholly hinge upon her being a zombie and having to eat people's brains. Fine, I can accept that. But the fact that eating humans keeps her human? Doesn't it seem like the very urge to kill and eat humans would be what kept her from being human? How does it make sense that a zombie choosing not to resort to cannibalism would make it more of a monster, while zombies eating people stay more themselves? How does that make sense? That also means the more people they eat the more they stay human, so a mass murdering zombie would seem more human than a zombie that never ate anyone? Murder and cannibalism = good thing? Resisting violent and cannibalistic urges = bad thing? That doesn't really make sense to me. But, it has to be done, otherwise she can't eat people's brains.

What I think would have been more interesting is if eating people made her less herself, so every time she ate some one's brain she lost more of her humanity - but sometimes it was the only option to clear their murder. So, she often has to deal with this dilemma - 'someone else could die if I don't, but I will die a little more if I do'.

2.) Timing. Timing is often an issue, but it is suggested that the guy at the party that turned her, was also turned at the party. Which doesn't make sense. In a span of ten minutes, he is turned and starts going after people and attacks her. But she is turned by him but experiences NO side effects at all until hours later after her body has washed up on the beach, been put in a body bag and most of the people in the area have already cleared out. Really?

Anyway, those aren't the only examples. But, it is interesting other than that. It is kind of like Medium. Where she gets bits and pieces of the puzzle and has to guess or go looking for the answers to fill in the blanks. And just like in Medium, there are a lot of times where her first guess based on what she has seen, is wrong.

Overall, I'd say if you like Medium or detective shows, I'd give this a watch. But be prepared to overlook some things. If you can't overlook some of the gaps and leaps of logic, don't watch this show.
