You go down the hall...

 

And notice old pictures on the walls and cracking paint. It is clear that the house has gone into disrepair since it was abandoned, but you are surprised at how quickly things seem to have fallen apart. You find yourself only a little way down the hall when you come to two doors. The one on your left seems to be a small room located below the stairs and from what you remember reading about the house’s layout from your files; you assume this is the bathroom.

 

You don’t think that what you are looking for will be there, but it is on the first floor and it is located closest to where the husband was found, so you try the door. It won’t budge. It seems to be locked from the inside somehow. You try the door across from it, the living room. It is also locked. You are upset. The first two doors have already stood in the way of your find and if this continues, you don’t know how you will find what it is that you are looking for. You keep going down the hall.

 

On the left you see a door cracked open, you know you can get in. On the right you see an arch way leading to the kitchen/dining area.
