You head up the stairs...

 

And with each step they creak. The railing seems loose enough to fall. You feel uncomfortable, like they might give out at any moment. When you get to the top of the stairs there is a door directly in front of you. You try to open it, but it won’t budge. It seems to be looked from the inside. You keep heading down the hall.

Through the dim light from the street lights peaking through the window you can see two doors in front of you. The one on the left has a sign that is clearly the baby's room, the other is the master bedroom.
